At-fault Accident Damage
What happens if someone is in an at-fault accident in your car causing damage? The claim attaches to the plate and will remain there until the plate is cancelled or expires. Once the plate is no longer in effect, the claim will attach to the next new plate of either the owner, or the driver during the prior accident, whoever insures first.
