Did you know that most homeowner’s policies require that, during the usual heating season, if you’re away from home for more than 4 consecutive days you must arrange for a competent person to enter your home daily to ensure heating is being maintained.
Alternatively, during the time you are away, you must shut off the water supply and drain all appliances. Read your policy wording.
